Summer Holiday Climbing for Kids and Families

Jungle Fever

Climbing fun for 3 to 15 year olds!

Following it's success in 2009, Jungle Fever is back for a second summer. This supervised climbing session for kids combines climbing skills with fun vertical games, all given a jungle twist for the summer holidays. Jungle Fever is a great mix of fun and learning supervised by Climb Newcastle's expert coaches and no prior climbing experience is necessary. Whilst the climbing goes on our centre's dedicated kids room, parents can watch the action or get away from it all in the coffee lounge.

Jungle Fever runs at the following times Tuesday to Thursday as well as the usual weekend times as part of our Rock Stars sessions...

Tuesday to Thursday:
1-2pm & 4-5pm: Ages 4-7
2-3pm & 5-6pm: Ages 8-12
Saturday & Sunday:
9-10am & 12-1pm: Ages 3-7
10-11am & 1-2pm: Ages 8-12
11-12am: Ages 13+

Summer Climbing Course

A fun course for the summer!

This series of sessions builds climbing skills over the summer holiday in a fun way. Beginning in the second week of the holidays (August 2nd) The course is open to all kids aged 6 and upwards, with each session focusing on specific climbing skills with fun games to reinforce the ideas.

Monday & Friday:
12-1pm: Ages 6-10
1-2pm: Ages 11+
Wednesday:
12-1pm: Catch up session (all ages)

Family Foundation Sessions

Fun for all the family!

We have slots available every day for families to get you started in this exciting sport. Learn the basic safety and climbing skills with one of our expert coaches, with some fun thrown in, and afterwards you can enjoy the centre unsupervised at your leisure.

Cost: £12.50 adults, £5 kids (includes shoe hire and day pass after the session). Please contact the centre on 0191 276 2174 for availability and booking.

Junior Coaching Academy

The ultimate climbing course for young people!

Our logbook based climbing skills course written by World Champion Andy Earl is running every day for kids aged 6 to 15. Kids should attend Rock Stars if they have never climbed before and a coach will recommend the Junior Coaching Academy if suitable.
